Photojournalist-Images with Meaning

Ted Wendel lives in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.  He received a doctorate in pharmacology from Wake Forest University in 1974 and has worked as a medical educator for many years. 

Slightly over a decade ago he began a second career as a photographer and photojournalist. He was a contributing photographer and the photo editor for Gateway To The East Valley Magazine. Ted participated as part of the Public Affairs team for Pacific Partnership '12 and ‘16. He worked in the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Indonesia . In 2013 he was a photojournalist for ProjectHope and reported on the ProjectHope response to Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines. In 2015 he went to Nepal after April earthquake that devastated that country and later that year he joined a Project HOPE mission to Macedonia to cover the north African migration.

Other clients include the City of Chandler, Westcor Malls, C. B Richard Ellis and the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. His fine art images are for sale at various locations in the East Valley including the Tempe Center for the Arts.
